VPN Unlimited alternatives: common questions

What is the best alternative to VPN Unlimited?

Surfshark ranks first right now. Unlimited simultaneous devices on every plan, handy if you'd otherwise pay for extra device slots. NordVPN and Proton VPN follow it in our ranking.

Is there a free alternative to VPN Unlimited?

Yes. Proton VPN (free plan + paid) and Windscribe (free plan + paid) have a free option. Check each app's verified facts for current plan limits.

Is there an open-source alternative to VPN Unlimited?

Yes: Proton VPN, Windscribe and Mullvad VPN.

Which VPN Unlimited alternatives work on Linux?

Surfshark, NordVPN, Proton VPN, ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access run on Linux.

Why do people switch from VPN Unlimited?

The complaints we hear most: no free plan beyond the short trial; smaller server network than the largest VPN brands; not open source, so the no-logs claim rests on the company's word.
