About Apache CloudStack
Apache CloudStack is a turnkey Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform. It bundles compute orchestration, networking, user and account management, resource accounting, a web UI and a full REST API, so service providers can offer public clouds and companies can run private or hybrid ones. It is hypervisor-agnostic, managing VMware, KVM and XenServer hosts, plus bare metal, and it can run Kubernetes clusters. An API compatible with AWS EC2 and S3 helps teams reuse existing tooling. Compared with OpenStack it is a single, more integrated project that a small team can install and operate, though it has a smaller ecosystem and fewer commercial distributions. CloudStack is free under the Apache License 2.0 and maintained by the Apache Software Foundation community, with commercial support available from third-party companies.
