About Audible

Audible is Amazon's audiobook service and the largest audiobook store in most English-speaking markets. Members pay a monthly or yearly subscription. The Standard plan lets members pick one audiobook a month to listen to while they stay subscribed, while Premium Plus gives a monthly credit to buy any title to keep, plus access to a large catalogue of included audiobooks and podcasts and member-only sales. Titles can also be bought outright. Audible produces its own Originals and exclusive productions with well-known narrators. The app downloads books for offline listening and has speed controls, a sleep timer, car mode and synced read-along on some titles. It runs on iOS, Android, the web, Kindle devices, Echo speakers and Windows, with separate stores per country.

Best for: Heavy audiobook listeners who want the biggest catalogue and exclusive productions.
