About CrossMacro
CrossMacro records mouse and keyboard actions and plays them back, so you can automate repetitive desktop work without writing a script. After recording, a visual editor lets you reorder or delete steps and add delays, clipboard and window actions, loops, variables and conditions, or wait for a colour, image or window to appear before continuing. Saved macros can run from global shortcuts, on a schedule, or when a matching window gets focus, and profiles keep separate sets of macros, shortcuts and text-expansion snippets. It also has a command-line interface and a local MCP server, so scripts or local AI agents can drive the same engine. A notable point is Linux support: it works on both Wayland and X11, which many macro tools don't. CrossMacro is free and open source under the GPL-3.0, with packages on Flathub, the Microsoft Store and winget, and DMG builds for macOS 14 or later.
Best for: Linux users, including on Wayland, who want to record and replay desktop macros.
