About DevToys

DevToys collects the small chores developers usually do on random websites into one desktop app that works offline. Version 2 ships with about 30 built-in tools: JSON and YAML conversion, Base64 text and image encoding, JWT decoding, hash and UUID generation, a text and list comparer, cron parsing, regex and JSONPath testers, SQL and XML formatters, and a few image helpers. A smart detection feature looks at what is on your clipboard and suggests the tool that fits it. Extra tools from the community can be installed as extensions, and there is an SDK for writing your own. A separate command-line version exposes most of the same tools for scripts and CI jobs. DevToys started as a Windows app and now runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It is free and MIT-licensed, built by two independent developers, with no paid tier. Because everything runs locally, pasted tokens and data never leave the machine.

Best for: Developers who want a free, offline, cross-platform set of converters and decoders.
