About EasyEDA
EasyEDA is a free PCB design tool that runs in the browser or as a desktop app, from the same company group as the JLCPCB board fab and the LCSC parts store. It covers schematics, simulation, PCB layout and 3D preview, and its main draw is how tightly it links to manufacturing: parts in its very large library show LCSC stock and pricing, and a finished board can be sent to JLCPCB for fabrication and assembly in a few clicks. There are two editions. Standard is simpler and aimed at students and hobbyists with smaller designs; Pro handles larger, more complex boards and adds team collaboration. Both are free to use after registering. Projects are stored in the cloud by default, and the desktop client offers offline modes. It can import Altium, Eagle and KiCad files. The close tie to one manufacturer is convenient but steers you toward its services.
Best for: Hobbyists and small teams who design boards and order them from JLCPCB.
