About Fedora Media Writer
Fedora Media Writer is the Fedora Project's own app for making a bootable USB stick. You pick a Fedora edition or spin from a list, it downloads the image for you and writes it to the drive, then reads it back to verify the copy. You can also write a custom image you already have, such as another Linux distribution's ISO. Because writing replaces the drive's partition layout, it includes a Restore option that reformats the stick back to normal storage when you're done. It runs on Linux, Windows and macOS, is free and open source under the GPL, and is translated into many languages. It's built for Fedora first: it doesn't offer multi-boot drives, persistence or Windows installer media, which other tools handle.
Best for: People installing or trying Fedora Linux who want the simplest path to a USB installer.
