About Fliqlo
Fliqlo turns an idle screen into a large flip clock: white digits on a black background, styled after the old split-flap clocks, readable from across a room. It has been around for years and shows up often in home-office and desk-setup photos, which is a big part of why people know it. The settings are short: 12- or 24-hour time, portrait or landscape layout, dimming, hiding the flap edges, shrinking the clock, and on the Mac a choice between the main display and every display. The desktop screensavers for macOS and Windows are free downloads, with donations accepted. A separate iPhone and iPad app costs a small one-off fee and adds a sleep timer as a subscription. On iOS it works as a full-screen clock app only, because Apple does not let apps act as screensavers or replace the Lock Screen. Fliqlo is made by an independent developer in Japan. It is not open source, and it only shows the time: no weather, photos or other widgets.
Best for: Anyone who wants a clean, readable clock on an idle desktop or a spare iPad.
