About Google Antigravity
Google Antigravity is Google's agentic development platform, launched in late 2025 alongside Gemini 3. Its desktop IDE is a code editor built around an agent manager: you hand tasks to AI agents that plan, edit code across the project, run commands and check their work in a browser, and they report back with artifacts such as plans, screenshots and test results that you review. Beyond the IDE, the platform now includes a standalone app, a terminal CLI, an SDK and extensions that bring the agents into other IDEs. Individuals can use it at no charge, with tab completions included and agent use subject to rate limits; Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions raise those limits, and organisations can get it through Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. It mainly runs Google's Gemini models, so it suits people happy in Google's ecosystem; those who want to pick any provider may prefer other editors.
Best for: Developers who want to delegate whole tasks to Gemini-powered agents for free.
