About Procreate Dreams
Procreate Dreams is an animation and video app for iPad from Savage Interactive, the studio behind the Procreate painting app. It combines hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation with keyframes: you can draw each frame, or draw once and let keyframes scale, rotate, warp or blur the drawing over time. A touch-driven timeline lets you record motion by moving things with your finger as the movie plays, and you can mix in imported video, images and audio tracks. Filters such as lens blur and noise are non-destructive. It suits illustrators, animators and motion designers who already sketch on an iPad and want a fuller timeline than flipbook apps. It is sold once through the App Store with no subscription, but it only runs on iPad, and the number of video tracks depends on your model. For people who already paint in Procreate, it is the natural next step into motion.
Best for: iPad illustrators who want frame-by-frame and keyframe animation without a subscription.
