About Beeper
Beeper brings your conversations from many networks into a single app, so you can read and reply to WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram, Discord, LinkedIn, SMS and others without switching between them. It supports over 15 networks. Its newer On-Device Connections link each network directly from your device, keeping end-to-end encryption intact where the network offers it and keeping messages off Beeper's servers; an older cloud mode bridges through Beeper's servers instead. Features include a unified inbox, search, labels, reminders and send-later. Beeper is owned by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and Tumblr. The basic app is free, and Beeper Plus is a subscription that raises account limits and adds extras such as voice-note transcription. It runs on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS, and its open-source bridges can be self-hosted. Because it relies on unofficial connections, networks can break or restrict it, and iMessage support is limited.
Best for: People juggling several chat apps who want one inbox for all of them.
