CyberArk (Idira) has been acquired. Now part of Palo Alto Networks and being rebranded as the Idira identity security platform, according to cyberark.com.
About CyberArk (Idira)
CyberArk is one of the best-known privileged access management (PAM) platforms. It stores admin, root and service-account credentials in an encrypted vault, rotates them automatically, and brokers privileged sessions so they can be isolated, recorded and audited. Newer modules add just-in-time cloud access to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Kubernetes, endpoint privilege controls that remove local admin rights, machine identity and secrets management for DevOps pipelines, and controls for AI agents. CyberArk is now part of Palo Alto Networks and the platform is being rebranded as Idira; existing customers keep using the same platform. It is aimed at large enterprises and regulated industries, is sold through sales-led contracts with no public price list, and comes as SaaS or as a self-hosted deployment. Expect a substantial rollout project: its depth is the main reason to pick it and the main reason smaller teams look at Delinea or Keeper instead.
Best for: Large enterprises and regulated firms that need deep privileged access controls and audit trails.
