About Deckset

Deckset turns plain Markdown into presentations. You write in your favourite text editor on the Mac, or directly in Deckset on iPhone and iPad, and the app lays out slides using its themes: headings become title slides, images fill the background or sit side by side, code gets syntax highlighting, and speaker notes, footnotes and formulas are supported. Because the source stays a plain-text Markdown file, decks are easy to edit, version and reuse, and newer AI features let assistants create or revise the Markdown for you. It exports to PDF and images and presents with a presenter display. There is a free trial on Mac, with paid licences for Mac and iPhone/iPad. It is Apple-only, and the theme-driven approach means fine-grained control over layout is limited; anyone who needs to hand colleagues an editable PowerPoint file will find it a poor fit.
