About Slidev
Slidev lets developers write presentations in a single Markdown file and get a polished, interactive deck in the browser. Because it is built on Vue and Vite, you can drop Vue components into slides, run live code, use Shiki or Prism syntax highlighting with line-by-line steps, write LaTeX and draw diagrams with Mermaid, and see changes instantly as you edit. It includes a presenter mode with notes, drawing on slides, built-in recording with camera view, themes and add-ons from npm, and export to PDF, PNG or PPTX. Decks can be hosted as static sites. Slidev is free and open source under the MIT license, created by Anthony Fu and maintained by a community. It is built for people comfortable with a terminal, Node.js and Markdown; designers and non-technical teams will find a visual editor easier, and exported PPTX files are images rather than editable slides.
Best for: Developers giving technical talks with live code and syntax highlighting.
