About Fing Desktop

Fing Desktop is the computer version of Fing's network tools, aimed at households and small offices that want to know what is connected to their network. It scans the local network, recognises devices by type and maker, and keeps a timeline of devices joining and leaving. Built-in troubleshooting tools include ping, traceroute, DNS checks and internet speed tests. The free version covers on-demand scans with a daily limit, speed tests and basic reporting. A Premium subscription adds continuous monitoring while the app runs, alerts by email and on mobile, blocking or pausing devices, and automatic blocking of unknown devices; a Professional tier adds shared workspaces for IT consultants and MSPs. Data syncs to Fing's mobile app and web dashboard when you sign in, and a local API lets scripts read the device list. It runs on Windows and macOS; Linux users are pointed to the separate Fing Agent. Compared with open-source scanners, it puts friendliness and device identification ahead of deep port scanning.

Best for: Home users and small offices who want to see and control every device on their Wi-Fi.
