About hide.me VPN

hide.me is a VPN provider based in Malaysia, outside the main intelligence-sharing alliances, with a no-logs policy that has been independently audited. Its free plan is a lasting free tier rather than a trial, does not show ads and does not require registration, though it is limited compared with paid plans. Paid plans add the full server network, more devices, streaming support, multi-hop and port forwarding. Supported protocols include WireGuard, IKEv2, OpenVPN and SoftEther, and the apps offer a kill switch, split tunnelling and its own SmartGuard filtering. An unusual policy is that renewals keep the same price and term you signed up with. Pricing ranges from a costly monthly plan to much cheaper multi-year deals. Apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, browsers and routers. It suits privacy-conscious users who want a free option they can upgrade without renewal surprises.

Best for: Privacy-conscious users who want a free plan without ads or registration.
