About Keka
Keka is a file archiver for macOS, with a companion iOS app, made by independent developer aONe. You can drop files on its Dock icon or window to compress them, or use it to open archives, and it stays out of the way otherwise. It creates 7z, ZIP, TAR, GZIP, XZ, Zstandard, DMG, ISO and several other formats and extracts many more, including RAR, ZIPX, CAB, MSI and APK. It can password-protect archives with AES-256 for 7z and split large archives into parts for email or upload limits. The Mac app is a free download from its website; buying it on the Mac App Store gets the same app with automatic updates and supports development. Setting it as the default extractor takes a small helper app, and it has no built-in archive browser like PeaZip's.
Best for: Mac users who want a simple drag-and-drop archiver that handles 7z and RAR.
