About Loomly

Loomly positions itself as a brand success platform, but in practice it is a tidy content calendar with scheduling and collaboration built in. You create posts in a shared calendar, get optional suggestions for timely topics and best posting times, route drafts through approval workflows, and publish to the major networks. An asset library keeps images and templates in one place, and an inbox and analytics cover the basics of engagement and reporting. It is now owned by Bending Spoons, the Italian company that also owns Evernote. Loomly is simpler than Sprout Social or Hootsuite and cheaper for small teams, with plans priced by number of social accounts and users rather than per seat. The trade-off is less depth in listening and reporting. There is no free plan; new accounts get a short free trial. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. It suits small in-house teams and agencies that care most about planning and sign-off.

Best for: Small marketing teams that want a shared calendar with approvals and post ideas.
