About NymVPN

NymVPN comes from Nym Technologies, a Swiss company behind the Nym mixnet. It offers two modes: a fast mode that routes WireGuard traffic through two independent servers run by different operators, and an anonymous mode that sends traffic through the Nym mixnet, which mixes packets with cover traffic and timing delays so observers cannot easily link who is talking to whom. The mixnet mode is slower and best for sensitive activity rather than streaming. Servers are run by a decentralised set of operators instead of one company, and payments can be made anonymously with several cryptocurrencies as well as cards. The client is open source. Pricing is subscription based, sold in several currencies and cheaper on longer terms. Apps support Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows. It suits people facing stronger adversaries than a typical VPN user, such as journalists or activists, who want metadata protection.

Best for: Journalists, activists and others who need protection against traffic analysis.
