About PDFelement

PDFelement is Wondershare's PDF editor, aimed at individuals and small businesses who want most of Acrobat's abilities without the cost. It edits text and images, converts to and from Office and image formats, runs OCR on scans, builds and fills forms, redacts, adds watermarks and Bates numbers, and collects signatures. Recent versions add AI tools for summarising, translating and proofreading documents. The interface is clean and easier to learn than Acrobat's. Wondershare sells subscriptions and, for desktop, perpetual licences on some plans, with prices that are frequently discounted, and there is a free download that works as a trial with watermarked output. Apps are available for Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Android, with PDFelement Cloud for syncing files between them. Wondershare's aggressive marketing and upselling put some people off, and power users may miss Acrobat's advanced preflight and accessibility tools, but for everyday editing it covers a lot of ground.
