About PDF-XChange Editor
PDF-XChange Editor from Tracker Software is a Windows PDF editor that has long been a favourite of power users. It is fast, opens large files without fuss and has an enormous number of options, covering viewing, detailed annotation and measurement tools, editing text and images, OCR, forms, redaction, Bates numbering, digital signatures and conversion. Many viewing and annotation features work free; using licensed features without a licence leaves a watermark on the output. The paid Editor and Editor Plus are sold as perpetual licences with a period of maintenance updates, and Editor Plus adds tools such as form design and creating PDFs from scratch in more ways. It runs only on Windows 10 and later, and the interface is dense, with many toolbars and settings to learn. For Windows users who want an Acrobat-class editor without a subscription and do not mind complexity, it offers a great deal for the price.
Best for: Windows power users who want deep features with a one-time licence.
