About PlotJuggler

PlotJuggler is a long-running open-source app for visualizing time-series data, popular with ROS and drone developers. You drag topics or columns onto plots to graph signals like velocities, IMU readings or joint states, line them up on a shared timeline, and apply filters or custom transforms to derived values. It loads files such as MCAP, ROS bags, CSV, Parquet and PX4 ULog, and can stream live data over ROS 2, MQTT, WebSocket or ZeroMQ. The newly released version 4 adds 2D image and video panels and 3D views of point clouds, meshes and markers, though it is still marked beta. PlotJuggler is free under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and supports plugins for new data sources and parsers. It is a desktop app, mainly used on Linux, with no cloud storage or team sharing, so it fits individual debugging rather than managing a whole fleet's data.

Best for: ROS and drone developers who need fast, free plotting of signals from logs or live topics.
