About Rerun
Rerun is an open-source toolkit for robotics and computer vision developers who need to see what their code and sensors are doing over time. You log data such as images, point clouds, 3D poses, tensors and time series from Python, C++ or Rust with a few lines of code, and the Rerun viewer shows it on a synced timeline you can scrub through, in a desktop app or in the browser. Recordings are stored in its own column-based .rrd format, and newer versions add SQL and dataframe queries and a PyTorch dataloader so the same data can feed model training. The SDK and viewer are free under Apache-2.0 and MIT licences. Rerun Hub, a managed cloud catalog that indexes recordings in your own object storage, is the paid product, priced per deployment on request. Compared with Foxglove, Rerun is more of a developer library than a ready-made ROS bag viewer, so it suits teams who write their own logging code.
Best for: Robotics and vision developers who want to log and inspect multimodal data from their own code.
