About Stretchly
Stretchly is a cross-platform break reminder written by Jan Hovancik and maintained as an open-source project since 2014. It runs in the system tray or menu bar and, by default, shows a 20-second Mini break every 10 minutes and a 5-minute Long break every 30 minutes, each with a suggestion for a stretch or eye exercise. You get a short warning before each break and can postpone it once or skip it after a delay, and it can pause automatically when you are idle or in Do Not Disturb mode. Durations, intervals, messages, themes and strictness are all adjustable, with more options available in its preferences file. Stretchly is built with Electron, released under the BSD 2-Clause licence and free to use, with optional sponsorship. Installers and portable builds are offered for Windows, macOS and Linux, but the macOS build is unsigned, so the first launch needs a Gatekeeper workaround.
Best for: Anyone who wants a free break reminder that works the same on Windows, Mac and Linux.
