About Vectr

Vectr is a browser-based vector graphics editor aimed at beginners, students and anyone who needs quick graphics without installing software. The editor covers the basics: shapes, pen tool, text, layers, pages and export to SVG, PNG and JPG, with real-time sharing so others can view or edit a design through a link. In recent years the service has added a set of AI tools around the editor, including a logo maker, image-to-vector conversion, background removal and image generation, some of which sit behind a premium plan. It is a reasonable step up from drawing in a slide deck and is used in classrooms to teach vector concepts, but professionals will quickly hit its limits on typography, colour management and complex paths. It works in most modern browsers, with Chrome recommended for the best compatibility.

Best for: Beginners and students who need simple vector graphics in the browser.
