About Amazon Chime

Amazon Chime was Amazon Web Services' communications service for online meetings, video conferencing, chat and business calling. It offered pay-per-use pricing, so companies paid only on days a user hosted meetings, plus apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, a web app, personal meeting links and integrations with AWS identity tools. It never gained much ground outside AWS-centric organisations, and AWS ended support for the Amazon Chime service on 20 February 2026. AWS says it can still be used in special cases to join meetings, but it is no longer an option to adopt. The Amazon Chime SDK, a separate set of developer APIs for building audio and video into your own applications, is not affected. Chime is listed because former users still look for replacements. Teams moving off it typically choose Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex, depending on what the rest of the company already uses.

Best for: Nobody now; former users should migrate to another meeting platform.
