About Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams combines persistent chat, video meetings, calling and file collaboration, and it is bundled into many Microsoft 365 business plans. Teams and channels organize conversations, while SharePoint and OneDrive store shared files that can be co-edited in Word, Excel and PowerPoint without leaving the app. Meetings support large audiences, recordings, transcription and webinars. Organizations already standardized on Microsoft often get it at no extra cost, which drives adoption. A free version exists for personal use and small groups, with business features in paid plans.

Best for: Organizations already using Microsoft 365.
