About Brave Talk

Brave Talk is a video calling service from Brave, the privacy-focused browser company. It is built on Jitsi technology and runs in the browser: Brave users start a call from a new tab or the mobile menu, and anyone can join from the link in any browser, without logging in or downloading an app. Brave's pitch is unlinkability, meaning it says nothing ties you to a call and it does not track or collect data about calls. Free calls are limited to four people but have no cap on the number or length of calls. Brave Talk Premium, a paid subscription with a free trial, supports calls with hundreds of participants and adds recordings, participant muting, entry passcodes and other host tools. Calls can include breakout rooms, polls, livestreaming to YouTube and group watching of streams, and a Google Calendar extension helps schedule meetings. It suits privacy-conscious people and small groups, particularly those who already use the Brave browser.

Best for: Privacy-minded people and small groups, especially Brave browser users.
