About Bugcrowd

Bugcrowd connects companies with a crowd of vetted hackers and pentesters. Its managed bug bounty programs pay researchers for valid vulnerabilities, while vulnerability disclosure programs give anyone a safe channel to report issues. Bugcrowd places a lot of weight on triage: its own team validates and prioritises submissions using the company's Vulnerability Rating Taxonomy before they reach the customer, and it is also a CVE Numbering Authority. A matching system called CrowdMatch picks researchers for each engagement based on their skills and track record. The company also sells pentest as a service across web, mobile, network, API, IoT and cloud targets, red teaming, attack surface management and, more recently, AI-assisted pentesting. Pricing is quote-based, with bounties paid on results. It suits companies that want hands-off program management, though as with any crowd program, findings depend on how attractive your scope and rewards are to researchers.

Best for: Security teams that want a fully managed bug bounty or pentest program with strong triage.
