About Caesium Image Compressor
Caesium is a desktop image compressor aimed at photographers, bloggers and anyone with folders of pictures to shrink. You add images or whole folders, choose lossy or lossless compression and optional resizing, and a real-time preview shows how the result will look before you commit. It handles JPG, PNG, WebP and TIFF, can keep or strip metadata, and can preserve the original folder structure in the output, which makes it handy for large batches. The developer claims size reductions of up to 90% without visible quality loss. Caesium is free and open source under the GPL v3, with installers and a portable build for Windows 10 and later and a DMG for macOS 12 and later. The same compression engine is also available as a command-line tool and through a free online compressor. Its interface is plainer than paid Mac apps, but for free batch work it is a strong option.
Best for: People who need to batch-compress folders of photos for free on Windows or Mac.
