About Choosy
Choosy is a small macOS utility, around since 2007, that you set as your default browser. When you click a link anywhere on the Mac, Choosy either shows a prompt listing your installed or running browsers, or follows rules you've set, for example opening links from your mail app in Safari and work domains in Chrome. It can open links in a specific profile or a private window in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi, and it also applies to AirDrop, Handoff and the Share menu. Browser extensions let you move the page you're on into another browser, and a URL-based API lets scripts, AppleScript or the Terminal hand links to Choosy. It is a one-time purchase after a free download to try it, and it is made by a single developer, George Brocklehurst. It only runs on macOS and doesn't route links to non-browser apps such as Zoom the way some newer pickers do.
Best for: Mac users juggling several browsers or profiles who want a prompt or rules for every link.
