About Cold Turkey Blocker
Cold Turkey Blocker is a desktop focus tool from Cold Turkey Software for Windows and macOS. The free version blocks websites for a set time, with exceptions and usage statistics. Pro adds blocking of desktop applications, scheduled and recurring blocks, breaks and allowances, an application password and a range of locking options designed to make a block very hard to undo. Pro is a one-time purchase that covers every computer you personally use, on both operating systems, and the free download includes a 7-day trial of Pro features. It's aimed at people who have tried lighter blockers and found ways around them. There are no Linux, ChromeOS, iOS or Android versions, so it can't cover your phone, and its strict locks can catch you out if you set them carelessly. The same company also sells Writer and Micromanager, separate focus apps.
Best for: Windows and Mac users who need a hard-to-bypass block on sites and apps.
