About CopyQ

CopyQ is a cross-platform clipboard manager aimed at people who want control. It watches the clipboard and saves text, HTML, images and other formats into tabs you can organise yourself, and items can be edited, tagged, annotated, sorted, dragged between tabs or pasted back via a shortcut, the tray icon or the main window. Its distinguishing feature is automation: custom commands can run on a shortcut, from the menu or whenever the clipboard changes, and a full command-line interface and JavaScript-like scripting API let you transform, filter or route clipboard content. You can ignore copies from certain windows or matching certain text, and there is a Vim-style editor mode. It is free and open source under GPL-3.0, with installers for Windows, a Homebrew cask for macOS and packages or Flatpak for most Linux distributions. The interface is utilitarian and dense, and there is no built-in sync between machines, but few clipboard tools are as flexible.

Best for: Power users who want a scriptable clipboard manager on any desktop OS.
