About Maccy
Maccy is a deliberately simple clipboard manager for the Mac. It keeps a history of what you copy, and a global shortcut (Shift-Command-C by default) opens a small menu where you type to search and press Enter to paste. That is most of what it does, and the author keeps it that way on purpose: there are no pinboards, sync or AI features, just fast search, pinning of frequent items, ignore rules and a native macOS look. History is stored only on your Mac, and if a password manager clears a copied password from the clipboard, Maccy drops it too. It is free and open source under the MIT licence via direct download or Homebrew, and there is also a paid Mac App Store version for people who want to support the developer or prefer App Store updates. Recent versions need macOS Sonoma 14 or later. People who want iPhone sync or visual boards will find it too bare, but for plain clipboard history it is quick and unobtrusive.
Best for: Mac users who want fast, private clipboard history without extras.
