About Ditto
Ditto extends the Windows clipboard by saving everything you copy into a local SQLite database, so you can search and paste older items later from a tray icon or global hotkey. It handles text, images and HTML, shows thumbnails of copied images, supports full Unicode, and lets you choose which formats are stored. Items can be pasted by double-click, Enter or drag and drop into any app that supports normal copy and paste. A distinctive feature is syncing clipboards between several computers on a network, with data encrypted in transit. It is free and open source under GPL-3.0, has been around for many years, and is available as an installer, a portable version or from the Microsoft Store. It only runs on Windows. Windows' built-in clipboard history (Win+V) now covers basic needs, and Ditto's interface looks dated, but it offers far more history, search and control, and remains a common recommendation for Windows power users.
Best for: Windows users who want a much bigger, searchable clipboard history for free.
