About Desmos
Desmos is a free graphing calculator that runs in the browser and as mobile apps. You type equations and they appear on the graph instantly; sliders let you change parameters and watch curves move, and you can plot inequalities, tables, regressions, parametric and polar curves. Alongside the main graphing calculator there are scientific and four-function calculators, a geometry tool and a 3D calculator. It is known for a clean interface that makes quick work of exploring functions, and for strong accessibility support, including screen reader and Braille math output. Many standardised tests and school systems embed Desmos as their on-screen calculator, using locked-down test modes. Developers and education companies can embed the calculators in their own sites through the Desmos API, and partners can even self-host it. The calculators are free to use without an account; signing in lets you save and share graphs. It covers graphing well but has no step-by-step algebra solving, and its symbolic computation is limited compared with a full CAS.
Best for: Students and teachers who want fast, clear graphing in the browser.
