About Symbolab
Symbolab is a math solver that shows the working, not just the answer. You type or photograph a problem, from simplifying an expression to solving equations, derivatives, integrals, limits or matrices, and it breaks the solution into steps with the rules applied at each stage. An AI chat assistant can answer questions about individual steps, and practice problems, quizzes, worksheets and cheat sheets help students practise the same type of problem. There are also graphing and geometry calculators and a large set of everyday calculators for finance, fitness and conversions. It runs on the web, on iOS and Android, and as a Chrome extension that lets you snip a problem from any page. Basic answers are free, while a Pro subscription unlocks full step-by-step solutions and more features. Symbolab is owned by Learneo, the company behind Course Hero and QuillBot. Its focus is homework help, so it is weaker than GeoGebra or Desmos for exploring graphs or building classroom activities.
