About Edison Mail

Edison Mail is a free email app that brings Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL and IMAP accounts into one inbox. It is known for speed, a one-tap unsubscribe tool, domain and sender blocking, read-receipt blocking, and an assistant that pulls out travel, bills, receipts and packages into separate views. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac. A paid Edison+ subscription adds extra features such as a premium phishing and security toolset. The company's business model has drawn scrutiny: Edison's research arm has analysed anonymised commercial email data, which it says can be switched off in settings, and it had a widely reported sync bug in 2019 that briefly exposed other users' accounts. People who are comfortable with that history get a quick, capable client for nothing. Others who care strongly about privacy tend to prefer a client that connects directly to the mail server.

Best for: People who want a free, fast multi-account inbox on phone and Mac.
