About FileFillet
FileFillet is a small macOS utility for filing things away quickly. You set up a panel of favourite folders, and when you hold Control while dragging, or move the pointer to the edge of the screen, that panel appears so you can drop files into a favourite or any of its subfolders. You can also copy or move with global shortcuts. It doesn't replace Finder; it removes the step of opening a second window to find the destination. Recent versions added better handling for network drives and transfers, and native support for cloud drives such as Google Drive and Dropbox is listed as coming next. It is made by LeanBytes, a small company in Stuttgart, and sold as a one-time purchase with a free trial and use on two Macs, with free updates within version 2. It needs macOS 14.6 or later and runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel.
Best for: Mac users who constantly drag files into the same set of folders.
