About Fog Panther

Fog Panther is a commercial raster image editor built specifically for Linux by Lukemani, a company based in Ontario, Canada. It aims at the work people otherwise keep a Windows or Mac machine for: layered compositions with adjustment layers, masks and groups saved straight to PSD, editable text under effects, and true CMYK editing with spot colours, ICC profiles, soft-proofing and ink-coverage warnings for print. Photographers get levels, curves, colour grading, spot healing and frequency separation, with RAW and HDR files and 8, 16 or 32-bit editing. It works without an account or internet connection and supports pen pressure and tilt. Every tool can be used free with no time limit, but the free version only saves in its own .fog format; a one-time licence unlocks PSD, PNG, JPEG and TIFF saving, export, batch processing and printing, and covers all your computers and future updates. It ships as deb, rpm, Arch, Flatpak, Snap and AppImage packages, and is still at a 0.x version.

Best for: Linux designers and print professionals who need CMYK and PSD layers without leaving Linux.
