About forScore

forScore is a digital sheet music reader for Apple devices, used by performers to replace binders of paper scores. You import PDFs from the web, cloud storage or sheet music stores, and the app organises them by composer, genre and other metadata rather than folders. It's built around performance: fast page turns, setlists, bookmarks for movements inside long PDFs, and hands-free page turning with Bluetooth pedals, MIDI or face gestures. Annotation works naturally with Apple Pencil, and there are practice tools such as a metronome, pitch pipe, piano keyboard and audio playback. The app is a one-time purchase that works across iPad, iPhone, Mac and Vision Pro, and an optional forScore Pro subscription adds extras like face-gesture turning, page copy and paste and priority support. It's the most widely used option on the iPad, but there is no Android or Windows version, which matters for mixed-device ensembles.

Best for: Musicians who perform from an iPad and want a polished, one-time-purchase score reader.
