About Google Search Console

Google Search Console is the free service every site owner should connect first. After verifying your site, it shows the queries people used to find you in Google Search, with impressions, clicks, click-through rate and average position, plus which pages are indexed and why others are not. You can submit sitemaps, request indexing of individual URLs, inspect how Google sees a page, and get alerts about manual actions, security problems, Core Web Vitals and structured data errors. It is first-party Google data, which no third-party tool can match for your own site, but it only covers sites you own, keeps a limited history, samples or hides some long-tail queries, and offers no competitor research. Most SEO tools import its data. It is a free web-based product used in the browser, alongside the Google Search Console Insights view.

Best for: Every site owner who wants Google's own data on search performance and indexing.
