About Homerow

Homerow adds keyboard navigation to the whole of macOS. Press its shortcut and short letter labels appear over clickable elements such as buttons, links, menu items and text fields in the current app; type a label to click it. A search mode lets you type part of a button's text instead, and there is keyboard scrolling with Vim-style keys. It works through macOS accessibility APIs, so it supports most native apps and a growing set of web-based apps, though some custom-drawn interfaces expose little to label. It is popular with developers and others who use Vim motions and want to keep their hands on the keyboard. Homerow is a one-time purchase that covers all your personal Macs with future updates included, and it can be tried free with a reminder every 50 activations; a student discount is available. It needs macOS 13 or later. It is a single-purpose tool, so it pairs with a launcher and window manager rather than replacing them.

Best for: Keyboard-centric Mac users who want to click buttons and links without a mouse.
