About KDE Partition Manager
KDE Partition Manager is the KDE community's graphical partition editor for Linux. It covers the everyday jobs: creating, deleting, resizing, moving and copying partitions, backing them up to a file and restoring them, and formatting them with file systems such as ext2/3/4, btrfs, NTFS, FAT16/32, XFS and JFS. Like GParted, it collects your changes into a list of pending operations and applies them in one go. It uses the same KPMcore library as the Calamares installer, so its behaviour matches what many Linux distributions use during installation. The app follows KDE's regular release schedule, gets updates several times a year and is the default partition tool on many Plasma-based distributions. It is free software under the GPL and only runs on Linux; there is no bootable live edition from KDE itself, so editing the system partition generally means booting a live Linux USB that includes it.
Best for: Linux users on KDE Plasma who want a native partition editor.
