About Last.fm
Last.fm records every song you play, a process it calls scrobbling, and turns that history into charts, statistics and recommendations. You connect it to Spotify directly, or use its desktop scrobbler, browser extensions or the many third-party apps and music players that support it. Your profile shows top artists, albums and tracks over any period, weekly reports and your full listening history going back years; Last.fm also uses it to suggest new music, events and a personal radio. The core service is free with ads. Last.fm Pro is a cheap monthly or yearly subscription that adds scrobble editing, username changes, extra reports and statistics, and ad-free browsing. A public API lets developers build their own tools on Last.fm data, which is why so many apps integrate with it. It runs in the browser with companion apps on iOS and Android, and is owned by Paramount.
Best for: Music fans who want a lifelong record of their listening across every app and player.
