About Web Scrobbler
Web Scrobbler is a browser extension that notices what's playing on music and video websites and logs it to your listening history. It has connectors for a long list of sites, from YouTube and SoundCloud to Bandcamp and many web radio stations, which fills the gap for services that don't scrobble on their own. Scrobbles can go to Last.fm, Libre.fm, ListenBrainz, Maloja and Pleroma. You can correct track and artist names before they're sent, and the extension remembers those edits. It's available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, and works in Opera through the Chrome store. The project is free and open source under the MIT licence, maintained by volunteers. Because it lives in the browser, it can't see desktop apps such as the Spotify or Apple Music clients, and there's no mobile version.
Best for: People who mostly listen in a browser and want those plays on Last.fm or ListenBrainz..
