About Lidl

Lidl is a German discount supermarket chain with over 1,000 stores in Great Britain and many more across Europe and the US. It keeps prices low with a compact range made up mostly of its own brands, plus the rotating 'Middle of Lidl' aisle of non-food specials such as tools, clothing and kitchen gear. Shopping happens in store: there is no home grocery delivery in the UK. The free Lidl Plus app is the main digital part, acting as a loyalty card that collects points for rewards, delivers personalised coupons and weekly app-only offers, shows digital receipts and leaflets, and can pay at the till with Lidl Pay. The app runs on iOS and Android and needs a mobile number and email to register. Using the app costs nothing; customers just pay for their shopping.

Best for: Budget-minded shoppers who do their weekly shop in store and want app coupons and points..
