About Logos Bible Study

Logos is a Bible study app built around a personal digital library. You read and search Bibles alongside commentaries, dictionaries, interlinears and original-language tools, and Logos surfaces passages and references from every book you own. It is widely used by pastors, seminary students and serious lay readers for sermon preparation and academic study. A free version includes a small starter library of around 25 resources and basic tools. Paid subscriptions unlock more features and access to up to 500 books, while larger libraries and individual titles are sold separately and stay yours to keep. The app runs on Windows and Mac, on the web and on iOS and Android, syncing notes and highlights between them, and the desktop app updates itself roughly every six weeks. The main drawback is cost: building a substantial library gets expensive compared with free alternatives.

Best for: Pastors, seminary students and serious Bible students who want a deep, searchable library.
