About LRCGET

LRCGET scans a folder of music files, looks each track up on LRCLIB, a free open lyrics database, and saves matching lyrics as LRC files with the same name next to each song, so players that read LRC files can show time-synced lyrics offline. It is the official client for LRCLIB: you can also browse and play your library inside the app, search for lyrics by hand, and edit or publish synced lyrics back to the database. It is free and MIT-licensed, built with Tauri, and has installers for Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Linux, including Flatpak, deb, rpm and AppImage packages. It suits people with local music collections who use players like foobar2000, MusicBee or Navidrome clients. It does nothing for streaming services, and results depend on what LRCLIB's community has added.

Best for: Owners of local music libraries who want synced lyrics files for every track at once.

  • Saves standard LRC files that many players can read
  • Free, open source, on Windows, Mac and Linux

Why people leave

  • Only for local files, not streaming services
  • Coverage depends on LRCLIB's community database
