About Memberful

Memberful adds paid memberships to a site you control. It handles checkout, recurring billing through your own Stripe account, member accounts, gifts, group plans, coupons and dynamic paywalls, and integrates closely with WordPress, Mailchimp, Kit and Discord. It can also host newsletters, podcasts with private feeds, courses and a simple website, so creators without an existing site can run everything there. Because members pay you through Stripe, you keep the customer relationship and can leave with your data. It is owned by Patreon but sold as a separate, white-label product. Pricing is a flat monthly fee plus a percentage of transactions on the Standard plan, with custom pricing for larger publishers; you can set up and test for free and only pay once you go live. It runs in the browser. It suits publishers, podcasters and communities that want memberships under their own brand rather than on a marketplace.

Best for: Creators and publishers adding paid memberships to their own WordPress or custom site.
